Attitude towards Corona in Sierra Leone and Libya
In a recent show for the Radio Helsinki format "Snapshots from the Borders" the three reporters Favour, Saif and Simona called to Sierra Leone and Libya to get some personal impressions of how Corona impacts the people in these two countries in the West and North of Africa. They asked Mudassir, student from Libya and Abdul Karim, DJ and journalist from Sierra Leone about numbers of people affected, about the attitude of the people towards Corona in comparison to Ebola, about current regulations and which challenges they personally face due to the measures to fight the pandemic. About Snapshots From The Borders
“Snapshots from the Borders” aims to improve the critical understanding of European, national and local decision-makers and public opinion on global issues in order to achieve the objectives of the SDGs, in particular SDGs 1, 5, 10, 11 and 16. In particular, the project aims to strengthen a new horizontal, active network between municipalities and cities directly involved in migration at the EU borders in order to promote more effective policy coherence at all levels (European, national, local).
“Snapshots From The Borders” is a three-year project co-funded by the European Union and carried out by 35 partners, border municipalities and cities and civil society organisations. Project Leader is the Comune di Lampedusa e Linosa.
