pop discourses and music ventures

Wiseup 03/2019: XOL DOG 400, Part 1
For the research of my book "utopia and apocalypse in popular music gabber and breakcore in berlin" I did a long interview with xol dog 400, over 2 hours which I edited down to 45min for you. Interestingly enough XOL Dog is playing this march at the boiler room Berlin where it says about him "When most of us were either not born yet or still listening to whatever the mindless pop machine was throwing up on us, Xol Dog 400 was defining the sound of speedcore in some of the grittiest clubs of freshly re-united Berlin. The Fuckparade co-founder has not lost edge or speed, his live sets are after 20+ years harder than anything you have ever seen in a club." We will talk about his biography, hardcore techno, the former club bunker, the berlin fuckparade and much more.
This year wiseup produces 1 hour shows instead of the previous 2 hour shows and this feature will be presented in two parts to have enough time for music alongside with the interview.
